Congratulations on choosing the SupraExpress ЗЗб! Your new modem will turn your IBM™ PC or compatible into a state-of-the-art telecommunications tool with both fax and data capabilities. Before you know it, you'll be sending and receiving faxes directly from your computer — even while you use it for other tasks. And you'll find free software, graphics, and useful information as you explore the world of telecommunications.
The SupraExpress 336i PnP modem is easy to install, even in computers that do not support Plug and Play products. Plug and Play greatly reduces the time it takes to install and configure your modem by eliminating the need for setting COM ports and IRQs. If you are installing an internal modem into a computer that does not support plug and play, the software Diamond includes makes installation as easy as if you were installing your modem into a plug and play computer.
With the SupraExpress 336, sending a fax is as easy as printing. With the included FaxTalk™ for Windows software (or any Class 1 IBM PC fax software), you can quickly send high-quality faxes from any Windows™ application. The fax transmits in the background at speeds up to 14,400 bps, leaving you free to do other work, or you can schedule it to be sent later, when rates are lower. It's that easy! You can also receive faxes in the background in Windows at 14,400 bps, then print or archive them electronically.
The SupraExpress ЗЗбе and 336i PnP are also a full-featured 33,600 bps data modems that includes easy-to-use COMit™ telecommunications software. With the modem and COMit (or any popular IBM PC telecom software), you can access other computers across town and around the world. The SupraExpress ЗЗбе and 336i PnP also support MNP 2-5 and ITU-TSS V.42bis error correction and data compression. You'll save time and money by using these protocols, which can give you up to 115,200 bps, error-free throughput when communicating with another V.42bis modem!
